The pace of life is so fast these days. Too often we get caught up in
our day-to-day lives and we forget that there are some opportunites we need
to grab before it's too late.
As a father of two young children, I'm only too aware of how chaotic life can be! It's easy to get consumed by the challenge of keeping our kids safe, clean and fed, keeping our home vaguely tidy, and keeping our careers on track. The importance of stopping for a moment to create that piece of heritage that is the family portrait is sometimes forgotten.
Matching outfits not required
If you are looking for a photographer who can create images that feel authentic and natural, someone who can create a piece of art that will hang on your wall for years to come, then I am the photographer for you. My clients come to me because they want something different from the traditional style of portraiture, something contemporary, something personal, but also timeless...
I love to work with clients who are fully invested in the creative process and who appreciate the value of great photography. For each commission I strive to find a unique way to tell my subject's story, to create emotive and resonant images.
It is important for me to create a connection with you
before the session, so I like to meet up for a coffee
and a chat, without the camera. This allows us to get to
know each other a little bit, and it allows you to ask
any questions that may arise.
I find that familiarity we establish through the initial consultation makes such a difference to the final photographs. My clients really appreciate the fact that I take the time to get to know them before the photography so that I can create images that are truly meaningful to them.
Great photographs are heirlooms
I'm passionate about creating great prints that will become heirlooms. I
believe that these physical artifacts are what my clients will cherish,
and as I like to point out - if you had to leave your house in a hurry,
which could you locate faster; a disc in a drawer somewhere, or those
photographs that you look at every day? The printed photograph is truly
the best means of archiving our treasured images, and this is what I
I photograph on location, not in a studio, because I believe real memories aren't made in a studio, they're made in our homes, or on outings to the beach, or the park, or on a forest walk.
